1. Who we are
This website is run by Star Kids (“Star Kids”, “we”, “us”), based in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. For your personal data, we are the “Data Fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Our contact details are at the end of this page.
2. The short version
- You can browse the whole site without giving us any personal data.
- We only get your details when you choose to contact us: by form, WhatsApp, phone or email.
- We use them only to reply to you and to handle any order you place.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time.
3. What we collect
Contact form: your name and phone number (required), your email (optional), a topic and your message.
Wholesale enquiry form: your shop or business name, your name, city and phone number (required), and optionally the products, quantity and notes you choose to share.
When you message or call us: your phone number, name and anything you choose to tell us. For an order, we also need a delivery address and the details needed for a GST invoice.
Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic request details (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in server logs, used only to keep the site secure and working.
We do not ask for passwords, card or bank details, health information or any other sensitive data through this website. Please do not include such details in your messages.
4. Why we use it
- To reply to your question or enquiry and share prices or product details you asked for.
- To confirm, deliver, invoice and support an order you place with us.
- To handle returns, refunds, complaints and requests about your data.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax and accounting records.
We rely on your consent, which you give when you tick the box on our forms or contact us yourself, and on the “legitimate uses” the DPDP Act allows, such as complying with law. We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time.
5. How our forms send your message
Our forms do not store anything on this website. When you press send, your message opens in WhatsApp on your own device, already filled in, and is only sent if you press send there. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp LLC (part of Meta), and messages sent through it are also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed for the purposes above:
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
- Our website hosting provider, which stores server logs on our behalf.
- Courier and delivery partners, who need your name, phone and address to deliver an order.
- Our accountants, and government or tax authorities, when the law requires it.
Anyone who handles data for us must keep it safe and use it only for the job we gave them. Some of these providers, such as WhatsApp, may process data outside India, where the law allows it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages only as long as we need them to help you, and delete them within 12 months of our last conversation unless you become a customer. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires (under GST law, 72 months from the annual return due date). Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. When we no longer need your data, we delete it.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it;
- nominate another person to use these rights if you die or cannot use them yourself;
- raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
To use any of these rights, contact our grievance officer at connect@starkidsindia.in or message us on WhatsApp. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: just tell us.
9. Children
This website is meant for parents, caregivers and businesses, not for children. Our forms are for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us their details, please tell us and we will delete them.
10. Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or other trackers. See our Cookie Policy for the details, including the offline copy of the site your browser may keep.
11. How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, uses strict browser security settings, and loads no third-party scripts. Only people who need your details to help you can see them. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. If a change needs your fresh consent, we will ask for it first.
